I am so stoked to be apart of the changing landscape of home ownership in New Zealand. Ever since completing my Masters Degree in Sustainability I wanted to change the way my lifestyle, diet, housing solution and community involvement, impacted the environment and the society I live in. At the time I didn't envisage I would end up building a tiny house, starting a landsharing platform for other tiny home owners (landshare.nz), and leading parts of the pro-tiny house conversation both on social media and at events.

We are at a tipping point, where we see innovation, driven from the innate need for a roof over ones head, attempting to solve some of the most inhumane social issues of our time. In a developed country such as New Zealand, we simply cannot accept the fact we have the highest homelessness rate (per capita) in the OECD.

I, for one, am not prepared to sit back and see archaic thinking, regulation, and policy decisions or inaction, further perpetuate this problem.
